This report provides the results of a three-day court assessment conducted in 2004 by the National Center for Juvenile Justice for the Lehigh County (Allentown, PA) Court of Common Pleas. The focus of the project was the Court's handling of child maltreatment cases. This project was part of Pennsylvania's Court Improvement Program reassessment, and involved several other county court systems in addition to Lehigh County. This report offers eleven recommendations for court improvement that are consistent with "best practice" principles.
