Publication year: 1981  |  Cataloged on: Oct 03, 2014

This document discusses restitution and community supervision as dispositional alternatives in delinquency cases. It is a comparative analysis of states which offer restitution as a dispositional alternative and those that do not. It also discusses whether the use of restitution existed prior to February 28, 1978, the date of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's 'restitution initiative.' The survey, upon which this document was based, was directed to all fifty states and the District of Columbia.
