Systems Integration: Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice
NCJJ conducted a semi-structured survey of the state-level efforts to coordinate information and practice during the winter of 2014. This four page publication presents the results through the lens of how centralized or decentralized the social service systems are in the respective states. The publication is part of a series previewing and supporting information provided in greater detail on the Juvenile Justice, Geography, Policy, Practice & Statistics website.
JJGPS StateScan Juvenile Competency Procedures
This is the 1st in a new series intended to support NCJJ’s Juvenile Justice Geography, Policy, Practice & Statistics website development effort. The first StateScan publication released for the project addresses state policy (as determined in juvenile justice statutes) governing determinations for a youth’s competency to stand trial in delinquency matters. This scan is the first time NCJJ has conducted a comparative statute analysis on this topic.
